“Smell the sea and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly.” -Van Morrison
We spent a few days during my October break in Hawaii this year with Ken’s family and as crazy as it can be traveling with a toddler, the experience was priceless. His excitement, his glee, his every step seemed to fill with boundless energy as he beelined for the beach, his family, and his Hawaiian treats. I decided to simply select all my favorites throughout our trip to journal out our adventure, instead of writing several posts at once. I think the pictures will do a fine job narrating our 5 days of bliss.
We were able to squeeze in so much, in so little time. We hit the food trucks, Matsumoto’s shaved ice, Pearl Harbor, all kinds of beaches, the Dole Plantation, and even Diamond Head. Let me just say, I always think I have a great idea when I decide to hike with Jude on my back, but hiking Diamond Head was a bit crazy. I can successfully say I made it to the top safely, but I don’t think I’ll ever hitch a kid onto my back for those stairs ever again. Once in a lifetime experience for sure. 😉 Aside from that, the food, the fresh tropical fruit, and the views were the perfect way to unwind after a crammed week filled with random car and household emergencies. Here’s to a whole lot of blue, Jude, and family!
You got some amazing scenic shots Rosie! And lots of precious moments of Jude and his Baba 😊
