“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” -Dr. Seuss
The end of summer is near and that means I’ve been planning and prepping to make the most of my last week off. Today was extra special for me and the boys. I picked up our favorite lunch to eat by the water, I brought Jude to a special place where he could admire all the planes and the ins and outs of an old ship, and I wore the “piaoliang” dress he asks me to wear almost every single day. When I’m old and wrinkly and Jude wants to tell his kids about his adventures with mama, I hope these photos will take him back to all the fun we had together. Ronan is still too young to remember this trip, but in two or three years he’ll be able to add to the memories of their joint Juju & Roro adventures. I hope both my children will remember that “if there is a will, there is way.” Life ain’t always easy, but it doesn’t have to stop you from living it. I pray both my children will take the time to make even a solo day count. To fill their children with just time to explore, to play, and to take risks.
