The best word I can think of to sum up Ken as a father to our two boys is “selfless”. I often underestimate the gift of something that grand, but the more I’ve thought about it the more it rings true to our life with him as a father. He is the first to speak up and tell me every single day how happy it makes him to see how his two boys are both such mama’s boys. He doesn’t complain, get upset, or tell us how jealous he is. Instead, he just throws back his head and laughs. He finds it hilarious and blesses me with the freedom to love them wholeheartedly. I recognize he doesn’t have to be like that, he could demand more of me and less of them. But that’s how much he loves me, he sees how much joy they bring into our lives and he being the husband and father that he is, welcomes that over and over again. Thank you for bringing my two soul mates into this world! You’re all that and a bag of chips and I hope you enjoyed your weekend with us without our usual jammed packed schedule! 😉
