“Take vacations, go as many places as you can. You can always make money, you can’t always make memories.” -Anonymous
Over MLK weekend, we took our first family vacation of four to Tahoe. It was obviously hard with such a newborn, but it was well worth it seeing how much Jude loved sledding down the hills each day. Of course, being his mother I took him down the adult sized run after a day of sledding and after that he decided he didn’t want to sled anymore. I swear he had a ton of fun on all the smaller hills prior to my poor decision. Nonetheless, it was by far one of our favorite family trips. Now that he’s older, Jude enjoys everything so much more and hearing his delight and squeals make all the difficulties of traveling with a crazy bunch of boys super worth it. Before Jude turns into a full blown threenager this Sunday I wanted to highlight a huge batch of photos I had such a hard time narrowing down. These are all the happy joyful moments, not pictured would be the large alligator tears that streamed down his face as he screamed out on our drive home, “I need the snow!!! I need the house [hotel] with the elevator!” Since then, I tell him each day that mama and baba need to go to work to make money or we can’t take him back to the snow. The kid is getting his first lesson in the importance of working hard to play hard.
