Little Busy Bodies

“Every one has a friend during each stage of life. But only lucky ones have the same friend in all stages of life.” -Unknown

Two weeks ago, we were lucky enough to fly out to D.C. for a wedding where we got to spend time with family and friends. Years ago, Ken was sent there for a seven month assignment and forever he’ll be tied to Maryland and the people there. I have never heard of a more hospitable clan of friends and family and now that I’ve had a chance to get to know everyone there, I can see why Ken misses them so much. Along with spending time with Ken’s extended network of friends and family, I also had a chance to see a childhood friend of mine and to meet her new beautiful daughter, Harper. Watching our two sons drive up down the street looking for neighborhood buddies was the cutest thing ever. I can just imagine the trouble these boys would get into if they lived near each other. It’s hard not to want to pick up everything and just move over to the other side of the coast to be with such amazing people in our lives. I know we’re all already counting down the year(s) until we can return and spend more time with all those we love so much.
