“I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.” -E.E. Cummings
Yesterday, we celebrated Ken’s birthday by taking a trip to Sausalito. Even though we missed the ferry, we still had a great time. As much of a busybody Jude can be, it is fun to watch him explore and discover new places. All he wanted to do was take a walk on his own, find the fish in the sea, and look at the birds in the air. He’s not even two, but acts like he’s 10. I took Ken to Sushi Ran, a place recommended by a friend recently and it was delicious. The sushi was amazing and the Black Cod Ken ordered was perfection. We came home afterwards and had dinner with Ken’s family, before we started with opening Jude’s first Christmas package from Auntie Yvie!
As we get older, all we want to do is spend our special day with family. The hours we spend working, our a great reminder to us to treasure the times we do get to be together. Here’s to many more celebrations, Christmas, and all the drinks that Jude wants to serve to us. 😉
