“There are two great days in a person’s life- the day we are born and the day we discover why.” -William Barclay
Last weekend, I celebrated my 30th birthday with several low key meals. In my reflections with what I’ve done with my life thus far, I am content knowing that I am not finished with fulfilling my calling. Looking back at all the important moments during my childhood that led up to my discovery of who I wanted to be and the kind of life I wanted to lead, I am glad to see that I haven’t lost my way. I feel lucky to have had so many incredible people influence my life in ways that supported my growth as an individual. The fact that most people in my life can say that I’ve remained true to the person they knew me to be when I was 15 years old assures me that I’m on good path. May Christ continue to be the center of my life. He is the reason I want to continue loving extravagantly. I hope I never take anything for granted, each year of my life, each friend that I have.
if this is a low key meal, please never come to my house.
