These photos have to be some of my favorite from this trip. I feel like they were the “firsts” of many in a long time. It’s the first time in almost three decades that I was able to wake up my brother without irritating him. Even Abe can’t stay asleep when he has Jude grinning up at him. This is also the first time I’ve been able to capture photos of Abe smiling. Not a half smile, not a smirk, but a genuine beaming smile. Score! And this was the first time that we were able to snap photos of Jude when he’s at his absolutely happiest, awake after a whole night of sleep. Thanks to Abe, I went to bed with a full belly every night and comfortable in his bed. This included being handed perfectly toasted smores and being fed delicious bbq.

p.s. Did I mention, Jude slept on the dog bed? Perfect size for the little man. =p

 
 He was happy until he realized how much he misses bathing on his soft flower sponge at home.
