“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” -Albert Einstein
I love what my credential/masters program gave to me. Not only did we walk away with the tools to create conducive learning environments, we have continued our conversations into our current spheres of influence. Many of us are no longer just classroom teachers, we have now merged into a large cohort of past and present alumni who work in different educational capacities. For over a year, we have begun to meet once a month to dialogue about the current challenges that we face in today’s educational system. We understand that change starts with us and so these monthly meets have become a highlight of my days. I hope these photos give you a glimpse and a feel of the powerful conversations that inspire us to return to work each day.
This last photo is my favorite. This is how I will always remember Dr. Pemberton. With elaborate and animated hands, she paints us a picture of the world she sees emerging out of our work. We are all grateful and have been inspired to live a life filled with passion and conviction.
